24.10.01
Introduction
We rolled out an update for our shipping software in production, PIYOVI version (v24.10.01), on October 16th, 2024. Below, you will find the release topics and details.
1. Freight Rules – Dropdown Field
We have introduced a dropdown option for selecting the carrier under the Ship Method for freight rules. This enhancement allows our customers to easily choose their preferred carrier instead of manually typing it in.
2. Shipment Update Permission
We have introduced a new permission to manage the updating of shipment details for users. This permission is managed at the Role level, meaning that restricting this permission for a specific role will apply to all users assigned to that role.
With Update Permission
Users with update permission are allowed to modify the shipment details.
Without Update Permission
Users without this permission will not be able to update shipment details.
To enable users to update shipment details, they must be granted either the "Ability to Update Shipment" or "Manage Shipment" permission. To restrict users from this capability, ensure that both permissions are disabled.
3. Tracking Range – Based on Service Level
We have introduced a new feature that enables freight forwarders to configure the Pro Number range based on the service level for carriers. In this process, freight forwarders will provide the Pro number range, which we will then configure for each carrier at the service level in Piyovi. This ensures that the Pro number is automatically sent to the respective brokers or freight forwarders. Additionally, the Pro number will be printed on the generic Bill of Lading (BOL), complete with a barcode for easy tracking and identification.
4. Auto Rules
We have enhanced our Rules module by adding an Auto Rules feature. When this feature is enabled, any delivery pulled from the ERP that meets the specified conditions will automatically apply the relevant rules, displaying a confirmation message to indicate that the rule has been applied.
Please note that this feature is only applicable to deliveries pulled from the ERP, not for manual orders.
The feature is controlled at both the company preference level and the user preference level. If it is enabled at the company level, individual users can still disable it in their settings if they do not require it. Please be aware that user-level settings take precedence over company-level settings.
Company Preference
Settings at the company level that can enable or disable Auto Rules for all users.
User Preference
Individual users can override the company preference and disable Auto Rules based on their needs.
