Quick Add to Address Book from Ship Screen

Users can now effortlessly save addresses from the Ship To fields in Ship screen directly to the Address Book.

  1. Navigate to Ship (top menu).
  2. After filling out the Ship To fields, click the +.

  1. Add Address pop-up will be displayed with address details from the Ship To address fields.
  2. If necessary, additional updates can be made.
  3. Enter any unique ID to represent the address in the Reference ID field. If you leave this blank, the system will assign a unique ID. If it is a customer/vendor address, then you can enter a Customer ID/Vendor ID for ease of searching.
  4. Click Save.
  5. The new address will be saved in your company’s Address Book.

Extended Google Search for Parties

Currently, the Address under the Ship To section in the Ship screen has embedded integration with Google address search to enable the user to easily select a suggested address to populate the full address.

Google Address integration now extends to all addresses in the Parties, offering address suggestions based on partial user entry in the Address, enhancing efficiency and accuracy in manual data entry.

Batch Shipment

Batch shipping enables you to upload multiple shipments using a pre-defined Excel format into Piyovi TMS. These shipments can be individually shipped or collectively shipped once the batch is uploaded. Also, the documentation can be printed all at once or for selected shipments.

The original batch import file had 3 tabs to input header data, package data, and item data. With this release, the batch import file format has been enhanced to accept all the data within one tab, and several new fields have been added. Please follow the instructions below to download the new sample file format.

  1. Navigate to Shipments (top menu)-> Batch Shipment.

  1. Click the Import.
  2. Click the Download Sample icon.
  3. Open the downloaded sample document and update it with one or more of your shipment details.
    • There are many columns, and you might not want to provide data for all of them. You can delete any unused columns to simplify your Excel upload file.
    • You can move the columns around, but the column headings should not be altered. They should match exactly with the sample file.
    • Ensure there are no empty lines at the end of the file.
  4. Once your file is ready with shipment data, click "Attach your files here".
  5. Select the file to be uploaded.
  6. Click Import.

Rate Shopping

Carriers do not require the street address (entered in the Address ) for comparing options (rate shopping). However, in Piyovi, it was marked as a mandatory field, which created an extra manual step to enter that data while doing quick rate checks.

The street address is now an optional field for doing rate shopping by using the Compare Options button. image.png

Comparison of Invoice Charges with Shipment Charges

This is only applicable for customers who are subscribed to the Invoice Audit module.

In viewing Invoice details, currently only the invoice charges are displayed. To review the shipment charges, the user will have to navigate to the shipment detail screen separately. We enhanced the invoice detail view to show the shipment charge details for ease of comparison between expected charges and invoice charges when there are discrepancies.

  1. Navigate to Reports (top menu) → Charge Discrepancies. Note: This feature can be accessed from any of the Invoice Auditing reports other than Accruals and Orphan Invoices.
  2. Click the eye icon.
  3. Click the Items tab to view the new Shipment with the expected charge details.

Preferences

Currently, Company and User preferences can be managed by navigating to Configuration (top menu) → Shipment (left menu) → Company and User tabs.

To manage preferences going forward:

  1. Navigate to Configuration (top menu) → Company Preference (left menu) [or User Preference for user level settings].
  2. Your existing preferences will be migrated, and you do NOT need to make any changes for the system to function as it is today. If the user does not set their preferences, then company preferences will be automatically inherited by the users.

  1. We have added the following additional preferences:
    1. Default location – If you have access to more than one location, this will be defaulted in the Ship.
    2. Default integration – If you have access to more than one source system, this will be defaulted in the Ship.
    3. Default document ref types – If you have access to more than one type of reference document, this will be defaulted in the Ship.

  1. Dimensions optional – In the Ship screen, packaging unit dimensions will be optional.
  2. We have deprecated one preference:
    1. Enable auto select cheapest: To use this option, use Business Rules.

Filter by Custom Date Range

Piyovi’s date filters are limited to pre-defined date ranges. A new beta feature has been introduced to enable searching date criteria with custom dates. This is limited to Ship Date and ETD date filters in Shipments reports only. In future releases, we will introduce this flexibility in other areas of the application.

  1. Navigate to Shipments (top menu).
  2. Click Filter.

  1. You can use this feature with new filters or existing filters.****
  2. Select Ship Date or ETD for the search Field value.

  1. There are several new Operators available including Less Than, Greater Than, Greater Or Equals, Less Or Equals, and Between.
  2. Select an appropriate Operator.
  3. Select a date (or date range for the Between operator).
  4. Click Set.

Address Book - Search by City

Added the ability to also search by City in Configuration (top menu) → Address book.
