Introduction
We are pleased to announce the release of Piyovi v26.06.01, which includes key enhancements aimed at improving usability, operational efficiency, and shipment visibility. Below is a summary of the new features and updates included in this release.
Return Shipment Label Indicator
Return shipments now display a return indication on generic label formats:
- Generic 4×6 labels
- Generic 4×8 labels
Generic 4×6 Label

Generic 4×8 Label

Benefit
Allows users to quickly identify return shipments from printed labels.
Ship Method Criteria in Business Rules
Business Rules now support Ship Method as a configurable criterion.
Capabilities
- Select Ship Method as a rule criteria.
- Configure business rules based on ship methods.

Benefit
Provides greater flexibility in shipment processing and automation.
Carrier Account Access Limitations
Carrier Accounts can now be restricted using additional criteria.
Supported Limitation Criteria :
- Shipment Type
- Ship-To Country
- Document Reference Keys

Behavior
When preferences are configured, only accounts meeting the defined conditions will be available and displayed during shipment processing.
Impacted areas – Business Rules, Get data from erp, Orders created using external API’s .
Benefit
Improves account control and prevents incorrect account selection.
Include / Exclude Taxes During Rate Shopping
Some carriers return shipping rates inclusive of taxes, while others return rates exclusive of taxes. This inconsistency makes it difficult to accurately compare rates across carriers and identify the true lowest-cost option.
To enable consistent comparisons, a new Exclude Taxes option has been introduced at the rule level — available in both Rate Shop Rules and Business Rules.
Important: This feature applies only to the rate comparison (rate shopping) process. It does not modify or correct the actual freight/shipping cost charged for the shipment.
Note: No changes are needed to keep existing behavior. If no rule is created or the setting is left as default (No), rates continue to be returned by the carrier with taxes included — exactly as before.
Rate Shop Rules – Exclude Taxes
When rate shopping is performed, the system retrieves rates from all configured carriers. If the matching Rate Shop Rule has Exclude Taxes = Yes, taxes included in the carrier-returned rates are removed before the rates are displayed to the user. This ensures a consistent, tax-exclusive view across all carriers, making comparisons more accurate

Business Rules – Auto Select Cheapest with Exclude Taxes
When a Business Rule configured with Auto Select Cheapest is executed, the system performs rate shopping in the background. If Exclude Taxes = Yes is set on that rule, taxes are removed from all carrier-returned rates before the comparison takes place. The system then selects the carrier with the lowest tax-exclusive rate — ensuring that tax differences between carriers do not influence the automatic selection of the cheapest shipping option.

How to Use
Create a Rate Shop Rule or Business Rule and set Exclude Taxes = Yes.
• Have specific conditions? Add criteria — the rule applies only when the shipment matches. • Want it for all shipments? Leave criteria blank — the rule applies to every rate shopping request.
Behavior Summary
| Scenario | Behavior |
|---|---|
| No rule created | Defaults to Exclude Taxes = No — works as before |
| Rate Shop Rule created Exclude Taxes = No | Rates shown with taxes — same as existing behavior |
| Rate Shop Rule created Exclude Taxes = yes | Taxes removed from carrier-returned rates before display |
| Business Rule, Auto Select Cheapest, Exclude Taxes = Yes | Cheapest carrier selected after removing taxes from all returned rates |
Note: This feature only affects the rate comparison display. It does not adjust or correct the actual freight cost on the shipment.
Batch Shipment – External Shipments Import
We gave option to import shipments which are processed outside of the PIYOVI through Batch Shipment Excel.
How To Use
- Added a new ACTION column to the Batch Shipment Excel template.
- To import shipments processed outside of Piyovi, set the ACTION column value to Import.
- Accepted Values:
- Import
- Draft

CI Direct Upload Support for UPS and DHL
Some carriers support customer-uploaded Custom Commercial Invoices. To support this capability, we have introduced the CI Direct Upload feature, which allows piyovi will generate and submit the Custom Commercial Invoice to the carrier on your behalf during shipment processing. Currently, this feature is supported by FedEx, UPS, and DHL carriers.
How To Use
- If you would like to upload the document While processing while international shipment, set CI Direct Upload option to Yes in the International tab, we will generate a Commercial Invoice (CI) based on the configured document settings, this process will happen once the shipment is processed. And the generated Commercial Invoice will be sent to carrier.

- The submitted document can be viewed in Shipment History with the Pre-Shipment tag, and you will see one more Commercial Invoice document which is generated after the shipment processed.

Document Generation Logic
-
If a Custom Commercial Invoice is configured under the Custom Documents section, the system will generate and upload the Custom Commercial Invoice.
-
If a Custom Commercial Invoice is not configured, the system will generate a Generic Commercial Invoice, if it is configured in the Documents section.
Custom Attribute Updates through Shipment Update
We have enhanced the Shipment Update functionality to update the Shipment-Level Custom Attributes through both the UI.
UI Support
- Added a new Custom Attributes tab in the Update Shipment model.
- The tab displays all configured Shipment-Level Custom Attributes.
- Users can update the attribute from this screen.
- Once the user is updated, the latest values will be reflected in the Shipment View. If you would like to track the updates, you can view them in the Comments or Activity screen.

FedEx Priority Alert & Priority Alert Plus
You can now use FedEx Priority Alert and FedEx Priority Alert Plus when creating a FedEx shipment. These are package-level special services, meaning you set them per package from the Additional Options on the Packing tab.
How to Use
- On the Ship page, select FedEx as the carrier. Go to the Packing tab and find your package row. Click the Additional Options icon on the row.

- In the Additional Options panel, scroll to Special Services. Toggle on FedEx Priority Alert or FedEx Priority Alert Plus, then click Continue.

Note: If you have multiple packages, you can set this independently for each one.
Report Scheduler - Invoices
Invoice Audit reports can now be added to the Report Scheduler, so they run automatically on a set frequency and are delivered without any manual action. This covers three report types: Invoices, Accruals, and Discrepancies.
How to Use
- Go to Settings → Automations → Report Scheduler.
- Click Add to create a new scheduled report.
- Fill in the details:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | A label for this scheduled report |
| Report Type | Select Invoice |
| Sub Type | Appears when Invoice is selected — choose the invoice report type (e.g., Accruals, Weight Discrepancies). Columns and Sorting load automatically based on this selection. |
| Frequency | How often to run — Hourly, Daily, Weekly, Monthly |
| Start On / End On | Date range for the schedule |
| Format | Select Excel |
| Time Zone | Your local time zone |
| Status | Set to Active to enable |
- Use the Filters tab to narrow the report data (e.g., Location = NA Spare Parts, Carrier = XPO).
- Use the Column and Sorting tabs to customise the output — options here update automatically when you change the Sub Type.
- Use the Channel tab to configure delivery (email or SFTP).
- Click Save.

Note: The Save button stays disabled while column or sorting data is still loading. Wait for the data to finish loading before saving.
Invoice Audit — Invoice Edit & Revised Payable Charge Fixes
When editing an invoice, the Revised Payable Charge now updates correctly in real time and is displayed accurately across the Items tab, Details tab, and the Invoice Audit grid.
Revised Payable Charge — Live Total in Items Tab
The Revised Payable Charge total at the bottom of the Items tab now calculates correctly as you edit.
- Edit any Revised Charge cell — the total updates immediately without saving.
- Clear a Revised Charge cell — the row automatically falls back to the original Charge value in the total.
- If no line items have a Revised Charge set, the Revised Payable Charge row is hidden (nothing to show).
Revised Payable Charge Visible in Details
The Revised Payable Charge now appears in the Details tab under Billing Detail, so you can see the revised total alongside the original Payable Charge without switching tabs.

Note: Once you click Save, a confirmation message appears and the invoice reloads automatically with your latest changes. You no longer need to close and reopen the invoice to see the updated values
Reason Code — Rule Override Justification
Piyovi now allows organizations to require a reason when users override a carrier or service level recommended by a Business Rule or Rate Shop Rule. This helps capture the business justification for the override and improves shipment auditability.
Benefits
- Improves visibility into rule override decisions.
- Helps organizations review and analyze override trends.
Navigation
- Configuration → Rule Engine → Business Rules
- Configuration → Rule Engine → Rate Shop Rules
Steps
- Navigate to Configuration → Rule Engine → Business Rules or Rate Shop Rules.
- Create or edit a rule.
- Enable the Reason Required option for the required override events.
- Save the rule.
- During shipment creation, override the recommended Carrier or Service Level.
- Select a Reason Code and optionally enter additional comments.
- Click Submit to continue processing the shipment.

If the user closes the popup without submitting, the shipment is not created.
Note: Reason Codes are managed by the Piyovi support team and can be added or updated in the backend upon request.
Invoice Auditing (Report) — Filter by Date Column
Added a new "Date Filter By" dropdown to the Invoice Audit filter, allowing users to choose which date column the selected period range applies to. Previously, only Shipment Date was available.
Key changes
- Users can now filter invoice data by Invoice Date, Shipment Date, or Created On (UTC) across all Invoice Audit screens.
- The Approved, Rejected, and Posted screens include an additional status-specific date option — Approved On (UTC), Rejected On (UTC), and Posted On (UTC) respectively — which is also set as their default.
- All other screens default to Invoice Date.
- The selected date filter is honored in all reports and Excel exports.
- A user's saved filter takes precedence over defaults; selection persists after Reset.
Affected screens: Orphan Invoices, Duplicates, Missing PODs, Weight Discrepancies, Charge Discrepancies, Invoices, Pending Review, Approved, Rejected, and Posted Invoices.
Note: Existing period options (Today, Last 7 Days, Custom Date, etc.) are unchanged, and other modules (e.g., Operational Metrics, Accruals) are unaffected.

Carrier Cancellation Email Notifications
Added Carrier Cancellation Email Notifications, allowing the system to send a cancellation email to the address configured on the Carrier page when the carrier has no cancellation API.
Key changes
A new "Carrier Cancellation Email Notification" setting is available under Configuration → Shipping & Compliance → Carrier.
When enabled, the cancellation email is sent to the email address added on the Carrier page. This applies only to carriers without a cancellation API; API-enabled carriers continue using their existing API flow.
Note: Existing API-based cancellations and other notification types are unchanged.

Webhooks – Added Filter Options to Outgoing Activity Grid
Added a filter bar to the Webhook → Outgoing activity grid, letting users quickly narrow webhook records. Previously, only a basic search was available.
Key changes
- Records can now be filtered by Period, Events, Status, User Name, and Search.
- Events and User Name support multi-select; Status covers Success, Bad Request, Not found, Auth failed, and No Connection.
- Filters combine to refine results and clear via Reset.
- Added Refresh, Column Option, and Auto Size actions to the toolbar.
Note: This applies to the Webhook Outgoing activity grid only; other modules are unaffected.

Pro Number Max Limit – Label Layout Fix
Updated the generic label layout to resolve overlap caused by long Pro/tracking numbers. Previously, long Pro numbers (up to ~27 characters) overlapped the Pickup Date.
Key changes
- Ship Date is now repositioned and right-aligned within the header row.
- Pickup Date moved to its own row below the HAWB/Pro #, removing the overlap.
- Generic labels (4x6 and 4x8) now support Address Line 1 and 2 up to 35 characters.
- Packing Slip now displays Address Line 2.
Note: Applies to generic labels (4x6/4x8) and the packing slip; other document formats are unaffected.
